THE RESULTS ARE IN!
I've been up since 5am scouring the internet for every shared post and every last vote, and the Midcoast has spoken! We asked you to nominate the servers who make our dining experiences unforgettable, and WOW, did you deliver. With about 450 votes (holy cow!!) and so much love shared, we are thrilled to announce our winners!
OUR GRAND CHAMPION: Darlene Dudley Ginn
Must Be Nice Lobster, Belfast: Cracking the triple digits in votes, "Queen Darlene" has taken the crown! Whether it was the decades of memories at the old Dockside or her top-tier service at Must Be Nice, one thing is clear: Darlene isn’t just a server; she’s a local legend.
RUNNER UP: Bee Nutt Hall
Dos Gatos, Belfast: Coming in strong at a close 2nd, Bee is officially the Midcoast’s favorite "machine"! From her "puma-like reflexes" to her unmatched charm, the Belfast crowd showed up in a major way to support her.
THIRD PLACE: Chris Raye
Dry Dock Restaurant, Rockland: Rockland’s own "Raye of Sunshine" takes the bronze! Chris is the blueprint for hospitality, even spending his own money to make sure the kids at his tables leave with toys and a smile.
HONORABLE MENTIONS: A massive shoutout to Florence from Tonys Donuts Maine, who was SO close to tying for 3rd and saw some serious love from her community. Flo, we’re coming to visit you to hear your story!!!

This contest showed us that Maine's service industry is filled with absolute icons, and we aren't done celebrating them yet! We are planning a "Local Legends Spotlight" to feature some of these amazing servers.
