Food Truck Lovin’ at the WORLD Toboggan Championship 🛷



Smash Burgs

If you haven’t tried a Smashburger with jalapenos, cream cheese and raspberry jam, are you even living? It’s the weirdest, and the best- as soon as we saw it on the menu, we couldn’t miss this opportunity. The Back Sheep food truck served up some killer smash burgers topped with a delectable raspberry topper. But somehow, it works. It’s spicy, it’s sweet, and it’s creamy. We also tried an O.G.  Smashburger, which was fresh and tasty, but honestly? It felt a little small for the price tag, and without the "spicy jam magic," it was a bit basic. If you're going to do it, go for the gimmicks!


The Potato Magic

We also tackled a Loaded Baked Potato covered in chili. While the chili sauce could have been a bit thicker (it was leaning toward the "soup" end of the spectrum), we can't complain too much. Once those juices sank into the potato, they worked some kind of culinary sorcery. It was the ultimate hand-warmer that you can eat.


Pizza, Pizza!

The pizza from Tender Hearth was legitimately delicious. It did, however, come with a side of physics. I managed to drop a bit of grease, which—given the Maine temperatures—immediately turned into a frozen pile of orange ice by my feet. Delicious none the less!


Liquid Courage and Vibes

To thaw out, we ducked into the Sea Dog beer tent. The crew working there were hilarious, high-energy, and surprisingly good at managing a crowd of shivering people in snow pants.


The One That Got Away

We had every intention of hitting up The Lodge at the Snowbowl, but the scene was busier than the finish line of the chute. We couldn't quite squeeze in, which is a tragedy because the rumors of "next-level deliciousness" are swirling around the mountain. We’ll be back for that Lodge food specifically.
